And sure, if you want to you can even use rum.

I bet you already have everything you need. This is perfect since the stores are sold out of everything and in epic chaos currently. You luckily only need a few ingredients to make this Quarantini. However, if you aren’t into a martini, go ahead and call any drink you’re currently enjoying a Quarantini if you are busy social distancing. Next thing I know, it’s taken the internet by storm and the famous Quarantini was born and now has a huge following on the #Quarantini hashtag on instagram.īelow you will find a killer recipe for a Honey Lemon Martini with optional powdered Vitamin C along the rim or mixed into the cocktail. Then my husband and I joked about adding toilet paper (which is worth more than gold in our current economy) and emergency Vitamin C packs. The initial thought behind a Quarantini was that it’s a martini that you drink alone in your house when under lockdown. Literally any drink you are drinking, you have my permission to call it a Quarantini on principle. Well, first and foremost, it’s a drink you drink in lockdown. We are living in unprecedented times, so we might as well follow the rules, stay safe, wash your hands, share your toilet paper and enjoy a delicious Quarantini while you are at it. And the optional added pack of emergency vitamin c - that can also be used to rim the glass - is just an added bonus! The local honey and lemon boosts your immunity. What are you going to do? How about we make a Quarantini and chill! What are you all doing to stay safe and sane?Very similar to you, eating carefully, and staying in confinement, though ours is by Royal Order and is being enforced by the Army and the Guardia and very strictly too.You can’t find toilet paper, everyone is stuck in the house from school and work and the whole family just got into a huge fight over your 100th game of monopoly. Another former coworker who changed jobs (for another trade show company) said they cut everyone's pay, which is better than cutting your job.

One person who had been laid off and who had found another job with a similar trade show company said it was business as usual but they were supposedly practicing social distancing. The old company, where I was laid off (when I was 71) had another round of layoffs. I used to work in the trade show business, which is greatly affected by something like this, as it was just after 9/11, when lots of events were cancelled. Other people I used to work with that I still keep in contact with haven't had it so good. Libraries are closed and in suspended animation. The local school system where I live is now closed through the end of the academic year. My daughter works in an elementary school and the school has been closed. But my wife's social clubs (book club, etc.) have cancelled meetings. One person from the Serbian side of the family did say that she had had contact with several Egyptians recently but we still shook hands and didn't do the double kissing thing. Everyone there was already conscious of the virus. I haven't done much socializing in groups since I retired, although I did mention going to a big birthday party two weeks ago for my wife's (only) aunt, who is 95. But like Nat, both my wife and I are retired.

Speaking only for myself, nothing special. What are you all doing to stay safe and sane? So far, the total amount of clothing needing to be washed in the last 7 days across 6 people is 0.

With the current situation, we all may be going for a high score when it comes to the longest amount of time with no clothes. We all know that washing your hands can keep this virus at bay, I wonder how chlorinated water artificially heated to 80˚F would do to it?
#CHATERINE QUARANTINO TV#
For us, that means lots of TV watching, movies, meals, games, and of course, swimming. As for the kids, We're trying to make it as pleasant as possible. Although I can work from home, almost everything I would need to do so is at the office. My wife and I are not at work and all four kids are here with us. As a result of the quarantine, visitors are all a no-go until, i guess an all clear is given. The kids have been out of school for a bit now and we have attempted to continue their education at home, but it's also spring break and kind of a crappy situation. How is everyone else handling the current crisis?Īs for us, we are under semi-mandatory and voluntary quarantine. None of us are showing any signs of the virus so we have yet to find just cause to request testing. With the current global pandemic, I hope that everyone is safe, healthy, and isolated.
